What is a real estate investor?
Wikipedia’s definition is: A real estate entrepreneur or a real estate investor to a lesser extent is someone who actively or passively invests in real estate. An active investor may buy a property, make repairs and/or improvements to the property, and sell it later for a profit. A passive investor might hire a real estate firm to find and manage an investment property for him. Typically, investors choose real estate for several reasons: cash flow, capital appreciation, depreciation, tax benefits and leverage.
If you would have asked me two years ago I could not have told you what any of that meant. Cash flow, leverage, what’s that?? I have learned though, part of the definition of a real estate investor is, to be a student. A student you say? What does that have to do with real estate?

EDUCATION. I will tell you that one little word will change your life, and make your road as an entrepreneur a little less bumpy. Education has changed my life and has headed me down a path toward personal and financial freedom that I never would have dreamed was possible.
There is a trend these days toward instant gratification, get rich quick. The TV shows make it look so easy. I’m here to tell you, it just isn’t that easy! EDUCATION, will make it a bit easier.
For me knowledge came in the form of a Real Estate coaching program, Fortune Builders. There are many ways to educate yourself, and to continue educating yourself. Books, Seminars, Mentors. Everyone learns differently, find what works for you. For me it was audio books.
If you are like me you have this internal voice saying, “I’m just too busy, I don’t have time”. How much time do you spend driving each day, wasted time going from point A to point B. Fill up that time with a good book!
